HOW DATES ARE SET

INEC is constitutionally required to release the election timetable at least 360 days before the election.
The presidential election must be held not earlier than 150 days and not later than 30 days before the end of the incumbent's term.
The president's term ends 29 May 2027 → presidential election window: ~December 2026 – April 2027.
