HOW DATES ARE SET
- Under the Electoral Act 2026, election timetable requirements should be verified against the Act text, INEC guidelines, and INEC notices.
- The presidential election must be held not earlier than 150 days and not later than 30 days before the end of the incumbent's term.
- The president's term ends 29 May 2027 → presidential election window: ~December 2026 – April 2027.
